Frequently Asked Questions - Problems

Q: The tape unfolds from the cable before it enters the extruder head.
A: The tape former needs to be placed as close as possible to the extruder head as to not allow the tape to unfold.

Q: I am not able to get the tape former any closer to the extruder head.
A: We can make the tape former longer in order to reach the extruder head from the bracket position we would require a measurement from the screw fixing position please contact us for details.

Another method that is less preferred is to fit a tube to the end of the tape former to hold the tape in place around the cable up to the extruder head this is limited in length because of threading and friction difficulties.

If you are having any problems with your tape former please contact us and we will endeavour to solve these problems.
